Our bow shackles are forged and feature a shouldered bolt and nut with a security cotter pin, which is a significant improvement over the more common (weaker) threaded pins. The nut is tightened up against the shoulder, the is pin fitted and then bent back on either side, allowing the bolt to rotate in use, while remaining secured.
